As The Avengers careens into its second weekend—it's almost hard to believe it's only been out in the United States for seven days—the curtain is being pulled back a bit on its production. And two designers have revealed some of the work they did on Joss Whedon's super-flick, and it's rather terrific.

Steve Jung and Nathan Schroeder were retained by production design James Chinlund to help give shape to some of The Avengers' most crucial locales: the S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier (inside and out), Stark Tower and Loki's nefarious headquarters.
