The trailers keep rolling out for J.J. Abrams’ Star Trek sequel, and the latest international cut shows off a little more of Spock’s mysterious mission to fire-walk for some reason. Why? Who knows? But hey, it looks cool, so we won’t complain.

With every new snippet of footage, Star Trek Into Darkness seems to up the ante more and more from the first installment. The set pieces are absolutely huge, and we get to spend a little more time with Spock (Zachary Quinto) in what looks like a pretty awesome scene apparently set just above a sun, or some type of volcano.

We also get to see a bit more of that Millennium Falcon-style spaceship chase, which looks like a ton of fun.

The flick stars Chris Pine, Simon Pegg, Zoe Saldana and Zachary Quinto, as well as newcomers Benedict Cumberbatch, Alice Eve and Peter Weller.

Check out the new trailer below: The sequel opens May 17. Are you digging Abrams’ take on the classic sci-fi series?
