How long has it been since you've sat down to watch a good oldy-timey B movie? Whatever your answer, it's been too long, so may we suggest: The Blob, which premiered on this day in 1958.

Featuring the first feature film role by Steve McQueen (!!) and starring Aneta Corsaut, the plot revolves around an alien life form that basically absorbs people. It did surprisingly well at the box office that year. Also has pretty excellent soundtrack, honestly.

And it was on this day in 1993 that your crush on either Dean Cain or Teri Hatcher went into full effect with the premiere of Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman.

The show ran for 87 episodes and featured guest stars such as Tony Curtis, James Earl Jones, Raquel Welch, and Adam West.

Both Hatcher and Cain have appeared in other Superman-themed TV shows, including Smallville and Supergirl.

Tomorrow: The Witches, The Twits, and the Giant Peaches.
