Fringe was actually a really good TV show. Fight us.

A lot of people take issue with Fringe. Fans seemed to love it as much as they were super irritated by it. And some folks just don’t care so much for Joshua Jackson.

But it was on this day in 2008 that Fringe premiered on FOX.

Created by J.J. Abrams, the show had fantasy, it was sometimes procedural and had notes of The X-Files and The Twilight Zone. There was a parallel universe, which fans found thrilling and interesting but new viewers found super confusing.

The show had enough ratings power to make it to 100 episodes, but was canceled in 2013.
