Filming on 20th Century Fox's The Predator begins in Vancouver today, and to celebrate the start of production, director Shane Black has shared a first official pic of the cast in costume.
Taking to Twitter, Black unveiled the first photo featuring the upcoming sci-fi movie's main cast. We have from left to right: Sterling K. Brown (Black Panther), Trevante Rhodes (Moonlight), Boyd Holbrook (Logan), Olivia Munn (X-Men: Apocalypse), Keegan-Michael Key (Keanu) and Jacob Tremblay (Room), with Black himself kneeling.
Rumored to be joining the cast (and not seen in the photo) is The Expanse's Thomas Jane. Black wrote on his Twitter post: "Partial cast … beautiful human beings, good people. Also, killers. Cameras roll today. Follow me on Twitter for updates. Wish us luck."
Rumor hath it that The Predator will be set in the suburbs and the new alien hunter will be a 10-foot tall genetically enhanced Predator (awesome!). Check out Black's tweet confirming the film definitely won't be PG-13 and that "Spines bleed ... a lot."
Black (who starred in the original Predator movie alongside star Arnold Schwarzenegger) is directing the film from a script co-written by himself and Fred Dekker (Night of the Creeps, The Monster Squad, RoboCop 3). The Predator is slated to open on Feb. 9, 2018.
