We still don’t know when the special will actually air, but now we have the first trailer for the period-set Sherlock special. Want to see?

The trailer gives us a good look at Sherlock (Benedict Cumberbatch) and Watson (Martin Freeman), rocking the classic Victorian garb and one particular mustache to die for. We don’t know much about the actual plot, but producer Steven Moffat has teased that he wants to use the unique one-off to tell a classic “ghost story,” with a version of Sherlock who is more refined (which fits for the era).

It’s awesome to see Moffat & Co. try something this unique with the hit series, basically tossing the characters and premise back to Victorian England (which, yeah, fits with Arthur Conan Doyle’s original stories) with no real explanation other than the fact that it’s something cool to do.

Check out the trailer below and let us know what you think:

No air date has been set, though we’d expect the special to arrive within the next couple of months.
