Shia LaBeouf: Indiana Jones 5 script idea is 'crazy'

It's been a couple of months since we last heard anything about the status of Indiana Jones 5—and what we'd heard then from producer Frank Marshall was that there wasn't really anything to hear!

Marshall popped up back in June to quash all those rumors about the Bermuda Triangle-themed plot of the franchise's next installment. As Marshall put it, none of it was true, because they're "still in the research phase."

Well, it appears that they've now gotten at least a LITTLE further along than that. Because Shia LaBeouf was told the film's storyline by Steven Spielberg—and thinks it's "crazy."

Here's how LaBeouf explained it to Showbiz Spy:

"They're script writing right now. ... I got called into Steven's office and he pitched a little bit to me and it sounds crazy, it sounds really cool."

While we wish we'd been a fly on the wall during that meeting to have gotten some of the details, we're glad to hear there's been some progress, and that they've moved beyond Marshall's "research phase" and on to some actual writing.

How about you?
