Screen Gems’ upcoming horror film Slender Man has unveiled its victims principal cast.

According to Deadline, Joey King (who will soon be seen in Wish Upon — another horror offering) and Julia Goldani-Telles (The Affair) will co-star in the movie with Annalise Basso (Captain Fantastic), Jaz Sinclair (When the Bough Breaks), Talitha Bateman (Annabelle: Creation) and relative newcomer Alex Fitzalan.

Directed by Sylvain White (The Losers), from a script written by David Birke (13 Sins, Elle) and Mike Scannell, Slender Man “centers on a tall, thin horrifying figure with preternaturally long arms and a featureless face” who is “thought to be responsible for the haunting, stalking, and disappearance of countless victims,” who are generally children and (surprise, surprise!) teens.

The movie, which was first announced over a year ago, is based on the super-creepy character created by Victor Surge in 2009 that became a worldwide Internet phenomenon. Heck, HBO even made a documentary called Beware the Slenderman!

Screen Gems — the studio behind The Mothman Prophecies, Boogeyman, The Exorcism of Emily Rose, Hostel and Pride and Prejudice and Zombies, as well as the Resident Evil and Underworld movie franchises, to name just a few — will distribute the film as well as co-produce alongside Mythology Entertainment, Madhouse Entertainment and It Is No Dream Entertainment.

Slender Man is slated to scare your pants off on May 18, 2018.
