It's no secret to anyone watching HBO's adaptation of George R.R. Martin's fantasy saga that, for every drop of blood that gets shed, there's a boob or four on display. The most recent episode of Saturday Night Live uncovered the naked truth.

Oh, sure, Game of Thrones is full of palace intrigue and mystical happenings and slayings aplenty—but would it perform as well in the ratings if there weren't flashes of nudity every 10 minutes? Perhaps ... perhaps not.

But this short SNL film reveals the inspiration for Game of Thrones' occasional lack of attire: a 13-year-old boy.

Saturday Night Live can be, to put it gently, hit or miss, but when they zone in on geekery—and take the time to shoot it like a short film—they often hit the sweet spot.
