After all the casting news and speculation, work is finally ramping up on Zack Snyder’s Batman vs. Superman film. Need proof? How about our first peek at the Batmobile?
Snyder (Watchmen) knows how to get the fans salivating, and he’s using his Twitter account to drop some shots from behind the scenes of the eagerly anticipated Man of Steel sequel. His latest leak gives us a look at the back of the new new Batmobile, which will apparently be piloted by Batfleck.
We can’t make out much (curse that tarp!), but we can get a look at the general shape, size and style. The back tires almost have a Tumbler vibe, a la The Dark Knight, but the shape is much more consistent with the slightly longer, “classic” Batmobile that takes its cues from a car design. Which we like.
Check out the pic below and let us know what you think is hiding under that tarp:
We don’t envy Snyder’s task of trying to introduce a new Batman so quickly after Nolan’s definitive trilogy, but tweaking the aesthetics to give it a new twist is a good start.
Batman vs. Superman is tentatively slated to open May 6, 2016.
