Check out this disturbing pair of new TV spots for Blair Witch, a surprise sequel to the weird and woodsy supernatural found-footage feature The Blair Witch Project.

While my idea of leisure time spent in the Great Outdoors includes marathon games of Yahtzee, a flickering Coleman lantern and some really big bugs, these brave souls entering the Black Hills Forest of Maryland seem to be dreading their nocturnal encounters with Mother Nature and the dark denizens of its haunted groves.

Go grab some breadcrumbs and follow us into this promising fall horror flick.

Here's the official synopsis from Lionsgate:

College students enter the Black Hills Forest in Maryland to see if the disappearance of James' sister is connected to the Blair Witch. As night falls, the students realize the legend is all too real after they are visited by a menacing presence.

Directed by Adam Wingard and written by Simon Barrett, the creative team behind You’re Next and The Guest, this latest look at their Blair Witch showcases lots of heavy breathing, glaring flashlights and a quick flash of the evil entity's physical form.

Wind your way into the demonic woods of Blair Witch in these petrifying promos below and tell us if this unexpected sequel strikes terror in your heart.

Blair Witch invades theaters on Sept. 16 and stars James Allen McCune (Shameless), Callie Hernandez (From Dusk Till Dawn: The Series), Brandon Scott, Valorie Curry (The Following), Corbin Reid and Wes Robinson.
