The first deleted scene from the Blu-ray edition of X-Men: Apocalypse has made its way online, featuring a young Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) using her telekinetic powers in an interesting way.
During the filming of the movie, director Bryan Singer shared some mysterious behind-the-scenes images of himself with a bow and arrow, with Turner beside him (see Exhibit A below). When she was asked about that scene in an interview, Turner said that her take on Jean Grey in the comic book movie was going to be that of an expert archer.Â
Sadly, the scene you'll see below didnât make the final cut in the movie, but we find out that Jean has been using her powers to, um, slightly enhance her mad archery skills. Thanks to that, Katniss Everdeen has nothing on her. This deleted scene also features Jean obviously having her eye on Scott Summers (Tye Sheridan). Check it out:
Since the dawn of civilization, he was worshipped as a god. Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel's X-Men universe, amassed the powers of many other mutants, becoming immortal and invincible. Upon awakening after thousands of years, he is disillusioned with the world as he finds it and recruits a team of powerful mutants, including a disheartened Magneto (Michael Fassbender), to cleanse mankind and create a new world order, over which he will reign. As the fate of the Earth hangs in the balance, Raven (Jennifer Lawrence) with the help of Professor X (James McAvoy) must lead a team of young X-Men to stop their greatest nemesis and save mankind from complete destruction.
