Sorry, Browncoats: Fillion calls Firefly revival an 'impossibility'

So what does Capt. Mal himself think of the odds for a Firefly revival? According to Nathan Fillion, not much.

Fillion, who led the crew of the Serenity for one all-too-brief season and a followup film, was recently asked if he thinks Joss Whedon will ever come calling to make some more space adventures.

Fans like to think it’s only a matter of time before Whedon gets the band back together and finally makes some new Firefly — but with each passing year, the odds get longer and longer. Plus, there’s also the little fact that post-Avengers, Whedon is one of the biggest directors on the planet. So the guy is a little busy.

Fillion agrees — and tactfully called a revival an “impossibility.” But he also said he knows better than to doubt Whedon if and when he ever sets his mind to it.

As sad as it is to hear, Fillion is being pretty realistic about the prospects. But it’s hard to give up hope for something we love. Do you think we’ll ever have any more adventures in the ‘verse?
