A new trailer (and a poster) for Natalie Dormer’s upcoming horror movie The Forest has been released.

In the movie, Dormer plays a young American woman named Margaery Tyrell Cressida Sarah. When her twin sister mysteriously disappears, Sarah goes to the Aokigahara Forest — which is a real-life wood near Mount Fuji in Japan where people go to commit suicide IRL (that's pretty f****d up) — in order to find her.

Of course, Sarah doesn’t heed the strict warnings to “stay on the path,” and she brings something pretty scary back with her, aka a malevolent and vengeful spirit.

The new trailer (delivered via Empire Online) delivers plenty of new footage and scares, so you might want to keep the lights open (or closed, whichever you prefer). Check it out:

Directed by Jason Zada, The Forest also stars Taylor Kinney, Eoin Macken and Yukiyoshi Ozawa. It is set to open in movie theaters on Jan. 8, 2016.
