We’re just one day away from the hotly anticipated premiere of Star Trek Beyond (with the movie actually premiering tonight), but that isn’t stopping Paramount Pictures from releasing a brand-new clip from director Justin Lin’s movie.

In the clip below, Spock (Zachary Quinto) and Bones (Karl Urban) find themselves stranded together on a mysterious planet after a rough crash landing, 'cause someone blew up the Enterprise. Again. Their brief bonding moment (aww) is interrupted when Spock is transported to gawd-knows-where, leaving our good Doctor alone. Well, that’s just typical!

The movie starring Chris Pine, Zoe Saldana, John Cho, Simon Pegg, Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella and the late Anton Yelchin is currently sitting at 93% fresh on Rotten Tomatoes and has received some very positive reviews from critics. Being a huge Star Trek fan (as you guys already know), I’m crossing my fingers that it really does recapture the spirit of The Original Series.

After stopping off at Starbase Earhart, a remote outpost on the fringes of Federation space, the USS Enterprise, halfway into their five-year mission, is destroyed by a powerful, unstoppable wave of unknown aliens. With the crew stranded on a unknown planet and with no apparent means of rescue, they find themselves in conflict with a new ruthless enemy who has a well-earned hatred of the Federation and what it stands for.

Are you ready to beam up to a movie theater for Star Trek Beyond?
