Star Trek actor John Cho has nabbed himself a juicy—and key—guest-starring role in Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci’s Fox supernatural drama pilot Sleepy Hollow.
Sleepy Hollow is a modern-day supernatural thriller that is based on a modern-day Ichabod Crane, played by British actor Tom Mison (Parade's End).
Cho will play Officer Andy Dunn, described as a likable police officer in the town of Sleepy Hollow who will have Detective Abbie Archer’s back. Dunn is apparently compassionate and helpful. However, *insert sounds of doom right here* there is more than meets the eye with Cho’s Officer Dunn.
Rounding up the cast are Orlando Jones as Lt. Frank Williams and Katia Winter as Ichabod’s wife. Kurtzman and Orci will pen the pilot and executive-produce, with Phil Iscove on board as writer and supervising producer. Len Wiseman (all those Underworld films and Kate Beckinsale’s significant other half; Cho and Beckinsale co-starred recently in 2012's Total Recall) will direct the pilot.
This news follows the announcement that Karl Urban, another Star Trek alum, has nabbed the starring role in J.J. Abrams' sci-fi TV project over at NBC, titled Human.
Will you be looking forward to a modern take on Sleepy Hollow?
