According to Deadline, the U.S.S. Shenzhou is getting some new officers while the Klingon Empire adds two new leaders as Star Trek: Discovery expands its cast.

Originally set to play Kol, the commanding officer of the Klingons, Shazad Latif (Penny Dreadful) is switching allegiance and taking on the role of Lieutenant Tyler. Kol has been recast with Kenneth Mitchell (Frequency, Jericho), while Battlestar Galactica's Rekha Sharma takes her place on the Shenzhou bridge as Discovery security officer Commander Landry. Newcomer Clare McConnell and Degrassi's Damon Runyan have been cast as Klingon leaders Dennas and Ujilli, respectively.

Mitchell, Sharma, McConnell, and Runyan join Michelle Yeoh (Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon) as the Shenzhou's Captain Georgiou, Sonequa Martin-Green (The Walking Dead) as First Officer Michael Burnham, Jason Isaacs (Harry Potter) as Captain Lorca, James Frain (True Blood) as Spock’s father Sarek, and Maulik Pancholy (30 Rock) as Dr. Nambue.

We still have no official premiere date for Discovery, but check back for updates as we have them.
