After spending his time being pretty much sidelined since the start of the season, Matt Lucas’ Nardole will finally be back in the thick of the Doctor’s timey-wimey adventures when the next Doctor Who airs this coming Saturday.

To get us ready, BBC America has released a "Next Time" trailer, an action-packed clip, and 22 pics plucked from the upcoming episode, titled “Oxygen.”

The latest installment will send the Doctor (Peter Capaldi), Bill (Pearl Mackie) and Nardole on a deep-space mission (on a space station that's giving me some Star Trek: Deep Space Nine vibes, to be precise) as they answer a distress call. There, our intrepid trio “find themselves trapped on board space station Chasm Forge. All but four of the crew have been murdered – and the dead are still walking!” Oohhh so far, so good! I love, LOVE stories set in space (*cough* Star Trek, The Expanse, Battlestar Galactica *cough*).

The episode, penned by Jamie Mathieson (Doctor Who “Mummy on the Orient Express”), guest-stars Kieran Bew (Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands). Here’s a new Star Trek-inspired synopsis (which is kinda awesome):

‘Space – the final frontier. Final because it wants to kill us.’ Trapped on a space station with no oxygen, the Doctor, Bill and Nardole are horrified to discover the automated spacesuits keeping them alive are also trying to kill them!

Dig into the videos and pics below, and don’t forget to tune in for Doctor Who this Saturday.
