Filmmaker and historian Jamie Benning is back with a brand-new documentary short focusing on Luke Skywalker's dashing Tatooine buddy, Biggs Darklighter, from Star Wars: A New Hope.  Benning is legendary for his ultimate dissection and discovery of neglected scenes, key characters and classic sequences in geek movies created in a format he calls Filmumentaries.  Back in February, we showed you his memorable piece on life inside the Jabba the Hutt puppet from Star Wars: Return of the Jedi, and now he's showcasing his latest effort with Blast It, Biggs! Where Are You?

It's an absorbing 17-minute examination of the Tosche Station scenes axed by George Lucas, with rare clips, interviews and stills from the Tunisian production and British actor Garrick Hagon, who played Darklighter, reminiscing on his infamous moments in the desert sun that were eventually left on the cutting-room floor.

So pick up those power converters and have a look back at one of the lost heroes of Star Wars.
