There’s very little that could get us more hyped for San Diego Comic Con 2018, but Star Wars: The Clone Wars is one of the few pieces of geekery we’d drop everything for. And now we know it’s going to have its own panel at SDCC this year.
According to StarWars.com, in celebration of the Dave Filoni-helmed six-season behemoth, Filoni and a few other Star Wars guests will be conducting a retrospective panel discussing the Emmy-winning show’s impact, our girl Ahsoka, and the depth of the war.
In the wake of Star Wars’ reckoning with its side stories’ potential, The Clone Wars provides one of its most successful touchstones. It started with a movie, then ran for years - beefing out the canon in the space between Attack of the Clones and Revenge of the Sith. The CGI-animated series ran for 121 episodes and set the bar for the universe’s extended dives, welcoming a generation of Star Wars nerds deeper into the fold.
For all fans (especially those that also adore Genndy Tartakovsky’s version), the panel takes place on July 19.
