If you’re done geeking out over the latest trailer for Star Wars: The Force Awakens, we have just the thing to help tide you over until the film finally arrives in December.
Disney has only released a handful of trailers (plus that nifty SDCC reel) for the eagerly anticipated sequel, and many of them recycled a few setup shots along the way. Even though the most recent (and final) trailer didn't reveal a ton about the story, it still garnered 128 million global views in just a single day. Wow. Luckily for us, there’s now a clip that brings every scrap of footage together in one place. It’s also edited like a pro, which makes it even better.
James Darling, with Science vs. Cinema, chopped together a glorified supercut of all the trailers to help put the narrative pieces together (as well as you can from trailers, at least) to get a feel for what J.J. Abrams is putting together in a larger sense. He does a fantastic job of putting the puzzle pieces together, and honestly, this feels almost like a legitimate trailer in the sense that it just works.
We get all the fresh stuff with the younger cast, as well as the iconic characters making their triumphant returns. Oh, and of course all those excellent space battles chopped into one clip. Seriously, just put this thing on repeat until December.
