Currently in the middle of its first season, Disney Channel's Star Wars Resistance has been renewed for a second season, SYFY WIRE has confirmed. The show was created by Dave Filoni, the man behind Star Wars Rebels and Star Wars: The Clone Wars.
Set before the events of Episode VII: The Force Awakens, Resistance follows a young spy, Kazuda Xiono (Christopher Sean), working for Poe Dameron (Oscar Isaac). As part of his mission to gain intel on the First Order, Kaz is sent to work on a starship refueling station (known as Colossus) on the ocean-covered planet Castilon.

Carolyn Hennesy fills in for the late Carrie Fisher, voicing General Leia Organa.
