It took five years and we had the entire run of Star Wars Rebels in the meantime, but the fans dream of seeing Star Wars: The Clone Wars return has finally been realized.
The original series, which ran for five seasons on Cartoon Network was abruptly canceled mid-season 6 when Disney bought Lucasfilm, leaving fans wondering what happened next in the story and what Dave Filoni had planned. Over the years, some of those episodes have been posted in various states of completion, but no one ever learned how it all ended.
The new season will reportedly consist of 12 episodes and be released on Disney's upcoming streaming service.
Thanks to Dave Filoni, we're about to find out what happened next and Star Wars fans are losing their ever-loving minds.
And this one, I have to include this one. Because Heath Williams and his Zuvio obsession cannot be denied.
Details are certainly still forthcoming but one thing's for sure. Star Wars fans all over the world are happier tonight and The Clone Wars have been saved.
