Star Wars fan films are like Forest Gump's didactic box of chocolates in their range of questionable quality and wide array of content.
Here's a new short film set in the galaxy far, far away titled Star Wars: The Force and the Fury that demands attention for its crisp cinematography and simplicity of story. It centers around a lone Jedi who crash-lands on a forested planet, where he's stalked by a mysterious Sith woman who appears to know him. Directed by Jason Satterlund and starring Aris Juson and Deborah Smith, it's injected with the true spirit of the saga, and could spur a sequel short if well received by fellow filmmakers and those with a Force-sensitive nature.
Have a peek and tell us if the lightsaber battle is worthy of a high ranking amid previous amateur efforts.
