Has Luke Skywalker gone Sith Lord? And what's up with Rey's training on Ahch-To?
These are just a few of the questions fans are mulling as new pictures of our heroes from Rian Johnson's eagerly awaited Star Wars: The Last Jedi have surfaced online.
The cover of Hungarian magazine Mozimania finds Luke clad in a stylish black outfit befitting someone that's turned to the Dark Side. That's a far cry from the beige and white wardrobe the guilt-ridden Jedi hermit was wearing when Rey finally found him and handed him his lightsaber at the conclusion of 2015's The Force Awakens.
There's no telling what the new duds mean plot-wise. If anything, the black get-up could just portend a badass Luke looking to avenge the death of good friend Han Solo and stop his old apprentice and nephew Kylo Ren from taking over the galaxy.
Speaking of apprentices, the above exclusive photo from Yahoo Movies shows Rey getting into fighting form herself with her trusty quarterstaff when we last left her on the remote island on the planet Ahch-To, seemingly ready to complete her training under Luke's tutelage.
You might say it's an inelegant weapon for a less civilized age.
We'll find out Luke and Rey's fate soon enough when The Last Jedi hits theaters on December 15, 2017.
