This afternoon at Star Wars Celebration Orlando, Disney and Lucasfilm took the wrapper off the first teaser for Star Wars: The Last Jedi, which continues the adventures of Luke, Rey, Finn, Poe, BB-8, Kylo Ren, Captain Phasma, General Hux, Maz Kanata and Supreme Leader Snoke in the glorious galaxy that George built.

The premiere came during today's The Last Jedi panel hosted by Lucasfilm President Kathleen Kennedy and attended by the entire main cast. This brief but powerful teaser opens at daybreak on Skellig Michael and mainly centers around Daisy Ridley's Rey undergoing Jedi training under Luke's tutelage atop the island's rocky outcrops, learning the ways of the Force and its delicate balance, levitating pebbles and practicing lightsaber strokes.

Accompanying their meditative background dialogue are glimpses of Kylo Ren, a swooping Millennium Falcon, Finn in a medical pod, Poe Dameron and BB-8, a red-streaked Rebel attack, an image of what might be the ruined Jedi Academy, a spectacular space battle ... and Luke declaring a dark fate for the Jedi. Conspicuously absent are images of General Hux and Supreme Leader Snoke.

Just breathe ... then dive into this moving new trailer. Star Wars: The Last Jedi opens Dec. 15.
