The CW’s little corner of the DC universe is getting a whole lot bigger in a few weeks, and now we have some fresh intel on the latest crossover between Arrow and The Flash.

The event, which plays a key role in setting up the upcoming Legends of Tomorrow spinoff series, is slated to air Dec. 1-2. Star Stephen Amell (Oliver Queen), never one to downplay anything, promised TV Line the event will be a “pinnacle achievement” for both shows — while Grant Gustin (Barry Allen) teases this event is “even bigger” than last season’s crossover. Considering it’ll introduce new baddie Vandal Savage, we’re expecting big things.

This two-parter will play like a two-hour movie, so if you’re only watching one show, you might have some trouble keeping up. Amell says the Arrow components will mostly be set in Central City, while the Flash’s story will be heading to Star City. That’s an interesting spin to change up the scenery, and co-star Carlos Valdes (Cisco Ramon) noted we’ll also get some mashups among the casts with folks you “wouldn’t otherwise see interact.”

But that doesn’t mean everyone is getting in on the crossover action. As we heard with the synopsis, Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears) will be back in the fold by this point, but Sears reveals he “does not have interaction” with the Arrow cast. But he does have an arc in the crossover. One person who will be pretty much MIA from the two-hour event? Iris West (Candice Patton). The actress said she is “not involved at all” in this event, though she may pop up in future crossovers (and obviously remains a key player in the regular Flash series).

What are you wanting to see from the crossover event? Do you like these mashups?
