Stranger Things Honest Trailer is basically The Hangover with kids

Screen Junkies has given the humorous Honest Trailer treatment to the first season of the Duffer Brothers’ hit series, Stranger Things. And it's glorious, and worth a good laugh after all the drama of bingeing Season 2.

The seven-minute video posits early on that Stranger Things is really The Hangover with kids (which is hilariously sort of spot-on, and you’ll see why in the video below), and that if you love the '80s, Steven Spielberg, and most of Stephen King, then Stranger Things' “No, I don’t want to skip intro; this song is awesome” is for you.

Starring a Losers Club full of Goonies, the Netflix series lets you visit the “ideal suburb of Hawkins, Indiana. A small town where no one seems to pay any mind to the giant high-security top-secret lab with hundreds of employees.” #TrueFact.

Okay, so Will Byers (Noah Schnapp) may be missing, but there’s still plenty of other strange things going around, including: Mike’s (Finn Wolfhard) sister Nancy (Natalia Dyer) trapped in a love triangle between two haircuts (aka Steve and Jonathan), Will’s mom Joyce (Wynona Rider) getting into arts and crafts to cope with the loss of her son, and Hopper (David Harbour) punching his way through Season 1.

Once again Screen Junkies does what it does best by poking fun at the TV juggernaut that is Stranger Things, but like the Wonder Woman Honest Trailer released a few weeks ago, it doesn’t find anything really negative to say about the show. Have a look, and chime in with your thoughts:
