It feels especially fitting to ring in our 20th episode(!!!) of the Strong Female Characters podcast talking about a franchise that's so near and dear to our FANGRRL hearts.

For our very special Star Wars Day episode (on May the 4th, no less), we're sitting down to talk to two very special guests who love the galaxy far, far away as much as we do: filmmaker Annalise Ophelian, who's heading up the now-docuseries Looking for Leia, and author Delilah Dawson, who gets to live out our dreams by writing about all things Star Wars with books like Phasma and The Perfect Weapon.

Listen to the episode below!

Strong Female Characters examines our favorite female characters and storylines in genre and draws parallels to their real-life counterparts and current events. Fangrrls managing editor Cher Martinetti and contributing editor Preeti Chhibber welcome a different guest each week to explore oft-used tropes, representation in media, and the surprising and sometimes humorous ways in which pop culture and science fiction can influence our daily lives.
