Strong Female Characters #21: we're having feelings about the future of the MCU with Stephanie Williams

Dec 18, 2018, 11:00 AM EST (Updated)

We've waited long enough—this week, on a new episode of our Strong Female Characters podcast, we're finally sitting down to talk about Avengers: Infinity War and dissect all of the feelings we had about the latest installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, as well as what needs to be the female-driven future of the next phase of movies.

Be warned: spoilers are going to be part of the territory here.

Joining Cher and Preeti to discuss is Stephanie Williams, former host of the Misty Knight's Uninformed Afro podcast and resident funeral coordinator for the Avengers. (They really do need one at this point.) Listen to the episode below!

Strong Female Characters examines our favorite female characters and storylines in genre and draws parallels to their real-life counterparts and current events. Fangrrls managing editor Cher Martinetti and contributing editor Preeti Chhibber welcome a different guest each week to explore oft-used tropes, representation in media, and the surprising and sometimes humorous ways in which pop culture and science fiction can influence our daily lives.
