Think twice about sticking your hand in this ominous xenomorph cookie jar ... you might not get it back!

This terrifying kitchen accessory is waiting patiently for unsuspecting snackers or brave bakers to deposit a batch of oatmeal-raisin offerings to fill its empty insides. Ever watchful of the cooking scene in your home, ThinkGeek's Alien Ovomorph Egg Cookie Jar might frighten the toaster and salad spinner to the darkest corners of the pantry. But whatever, I'm still displaying its otherworldy presence front and center.

This alien-mother of a cookie jar stands 9 1/2" tall x 5 1/2" wide, weighs 3 1/2 pounds, and is nicely painted in sinister shades of green to replicate the dreadful pods found aboard the derelict ship on LV-426 in Ridley Scott's original Alien.

A nasty coiled facehugger acts as the jarring ceramic jar's lid, so watch your fingers! It comes packaged in a cool box printed with eerie images from the film, and a grinning adult xenomorph posted on the side.

Special shout out and thank you to the fun folks at ThinkGeek!

Clear a spot on your counter and pick one up at ThinkGeek for $39.99.

Here's their detailed description:

Look, the FDA. We get it. Eating raw cookie dough is a risk. Eggs can be dangerous. They might have anything in them. Like chicken embryos. Or Salmonella. Or Xenomorphs. But you know what? In our not-so-humble opinions, it is a risk worth taking.

Just to be safe, you should always bake your cookies before consuming them and then stash them away in this Alien Ovomorph Cookie Jar. It quietly menaces cookie-seekers from your kitchen counter. You know, they can sense suitable nearby prey. If you reach for a cookie and that facehugger curled up on the lid moves, you'd better run for it. Just don't tell visitors who think you have a weird lookin' avocado on your countertop. Survival of the fittest and all, you know.
