Sharpen your stakes (OK, not really) and get your crucifixes and garlic out, because real-life vampires of the non-sparkly kind exist (yep, you know they do), and one could be living right next to you right now.

Real-life vampire mom of two Julia Caples from Pennsylvania in the good ol’ U.S.A. says that she has been drinking blood for more than 30 years!

The woman goes to a local occult and oddities shop for willing human donors (yes, really) who will let the 45-year-old woman drink from them. She claims to drink about two liters of blood each month and believes that drinking blood keeps her young and healthy.

"When I feed off of a person and drink their blood I feel stronger and healthier.
"I know scientifically there's not a lot nutrition in blood, but maybe there's some value we haven't discovered yet."

And how did this modern-day female Dracula get interested in drinking blood? It apparently began while she was a teenager, during her first kiss, no less.

"It was my natural instinct and I liked the taste, I just got an urge and can't really explain it. It's never gone away.
"Needless to say though, he never kissed me again."

That must have been one heck of a bloody kiss. Maybe we should send her a case of Tru Blood?
