Super Friends mixed with Zack Snyder's Justice League is the perfect DC mash-up

It’s obvious Justice League is making a push to lighten up the grim dark tone of the DCEU, but even with a softer touch, it doesn’t hold a candle to the animated glory days of the DC universe.

A new mash-up clip uses curated footage from the old Super Friends cartoon, set to the audio of the Justice League trailer. It’s a juxtaposition about as weird as you could probably imagine. Hearing Jason Momoa’s voice set to the seahorse-riding version of Aquaman is hilarious, and it’s easy to forget just how silly the old animated version of Cyborg looked back in the day. Then there’s Ben Affleck’s Batman, which actually works pretty well with the animated Dark Knight. Somehow.

If nothing else, it’s actually nice to see a few primary colors associated with the DC universe, right? It's easy to forget how dark these movies are until you see it set alongside something like this. Well, at least we have more Young Justice to look forward to, right?

Check out the mash-up trailer below and let us know what you think.
