The show's new big bad was introduced in the Supergirl Season 3 premiere, "Girl of Steel," as Samantha Arias, a single mother who is completely in the dark that she is a Worldkiller, one of five weapons (in the comics) of mass destruction bioengineered by Kara’s (Melissa Benoist) Kryptonian father, Zor-El.
Executive producer Andew Kreisberg has mentioned several times that we will see the evolution of the DC character from single mom to full-on villain, something that hasn’t been seen on any of the other Arrowverse series. “One thing we’ve never done on Arrow or The Flash is watch the villain become the villain,” Kreisberg previously said, while also pointing out that the show would take a different approach to the New 52 DC character. And so they have.
As you guys can see below, the TV version of Reign, to be introduced later in the season, looks very different than her comic book counterpart, what with her ash-looking pale skin, auburn hair, and fully black eyes. Here's comic book Reign:
