A bit more of Metropolis will be trickling into The CW's Arrowverse this fall in the form of Daily Planet reporter Lois Lane, Entertainment Weekly reports. Casting for the part will begin soon.

“We couldn’t be more excited to introduce Lois Lane to the Arrowverse,” said Supergirl executive producers Jessica Queller and Robert Rovner. “This dogged, determined and brave reporter will make for a strong partner to Superman and amazing addition to our universe of DC characters.”

EW also reports that Tyler Hoechlin's Superman, who appeared on Supergirl in 2016, will also be featured in the annual crossover.

The three-night event begins on The CW on Dec. 9 with The Flash, continuing to Dec. 10 with Arrow, and wrapping up on Dec. 11 with Supergirl.

All three shows will air at 8 p.m. EST and mark the first-ever onscreen debut of Ruby Rose's Batwoman.

Last year's crossover, titled "Crisis on Earth-X," took a Man in the High Castle route by featuring a host of villains from a reality where the Axis powers won World War II. This, admittedly, will be hard to top, particularly because the event was praised as being a better Justice League movie than Zack Snyder's own Justice League movie. Even so, the return of Superman and the exciting introductions of Lois Lane and Batwoman should make it totally worth your time and investment.
