Lucy and the Raza will keep on flying through at least 2017.

Syfy (Corporate owner of Blastr -Ed.) has officially announced plans to renew the space action series Killjoys and Dark Matter for new seasons in 2017. Both shows are wrapping up their second seasons this month.

Both shows have managed to really hit their strides this season, with Killjoys balancing its femme fatale, bounty hunter action with some fresh political intrigue. Dark Matter has continued to build its mysterious mythology around its crew, while also introducing and bringing back some fresh faces (including a few Stargate Atlantis alums!).

If you’re a sci-fi fan, and you haven’t been watching Killjoys, you should really check it out. It features some of the sharpest characters on television, and one of the best female leads working in sci-fi via Hannah John-Kamen’s Dutch. It’s like the sweet spot between Firefly and Farscape, but with a whole lot more bounty hunting. One of the best shows you’re possibly not watching.

Killjoys will air its second season finale tomorrow, Friday, Sept. 2. Dark Matter will air a double episode on Friday, Sept. 9, and its season two finale on Friday, Sept. 16, on Syfy.
