The weekend is finally here, and now is the time to initiate party time... along with Emergency Protocol 417.

Thanks to SYFY WIRE’s latest Happy Hour video, now you can kick back and enjoy Captain Jack Harkness’ (of Doctor Who and Torchwood fame) alcoholic beverage of choice. Spending the week protecting the Earth from various alien threats can make a former Time Agent and Doctor Who companion quite thirsty.

A fan favorite, the omnisexual Captain Jack (played by Arrow alum John Barrowman) was first introduced in the Doctor Who Season 1 two-parter “The Empty Child” / “The Doctor Dances.” At the end of the second part, the character has his ship’s computer make him a martini (which boasted a little too much vermouth for his taste) by initiating Emergency Protocol 417.

Making the drink materialize is actually pretty easy. First things first, line a cool martini glass with sugar. Then, pour 1 oz. of pear liqueur in a separate glass filled with ice. Add 1 oz. of gin, followed by 1 oz. of fig brandy and stir. Strain the concoction into your martini glass, and voila!

Check out our exclusive video to see how simple it is to make Captain Jack’s favorite drink, and don’t forget to drink responsibly.
