Ready for New York Comic Con 2018? SYFY WIRE sure is! We will be there for the full run, Oct. 4-7, and providing complete coverage – including livestreaming interviews and panels from the convention itself. Here’s the deal:
As the official streaming partner of NYCC 2018, there will be four streaming channels available to view here at SYFY.com. One of the streams will be from the Live Stage, where we will be conducting interviews with actors, writers, directors, artists, and more from across movies, TV, and comics.
The other three streams will be showcasing panels happening at the Con – specifically the panels happening on the Main Stage at the Javits Center, as well as stages in Madison Square Garden and the Hammerstein Ballroom.
There looks to be an A-list lineup of talent, including Shazam! star Zachary Levi, Spawn's Todd McFarlane, a Lois & Clark reunion between Teri Hatcher and Dean Cain, the Mortal Engines cast, Michelle Rodriguez, Common, Neil Gaiman and the Good Omens cast, Geoff Johns, Magicians co-creators Sera Gamble and John McNamara (interviewed by Magicians series author Lev Grossman!), the casts of Titans; The 100; The Passage; The Orville; Siren; Blindspot; Riverdale; Manifest; Midnight, Texas; Deadly Class; Stan Against Evil; Nightflyers; Lore; Critical Role; American Gods; and many, many more.
One of those panels will be SYFY WIRE’s very own “The Great Debate.” Taking place Sunday, Oct. 7, at 10:30 a.m. ET in the Hammerstein Ballroom, the panel will be moderated by Aisha Tyler and feature celebrity nerds (including Orlando Jones, Phil LaMarr, and Adam Savage, among others) debating some of the most important questions in genre fandom: Is it a reboot or a remake? Do you prefer a shared universe or a stand-alone film? Who will survive the Snapture? After each round, the audience will cast a vote to give their take on where they stand on every topic.
This is all in addition to the on-the-ground reporting that SYFY WIRE will provide throughout the Con, covering news, trailer releases, cool cosplay, and more.
You’ll be able to experience all of the above at SYFY.com during the entire Oct. 4-7 run of NYCC.
And for those attending in person, please stop by the SYFY WIRE Fan Creator Lounge. It will feature original fan art (created in partnership with DeviantArt), activations, and giveaways (provided through collaboration with Bluprint), with lounge seating and charging stations – to recharge your batteries, figuratively and literally.
Whether in person or here at SYFY.com, we hope you’ll spend the Con with us!
