We at SYFY WIRE had originally told you what all we’d be up to at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con. Now, we can tell you who’s coming with us to the biggest geek party of the year.

The two panels that we’re bringing to the con, “SYFY WIRE Hosts the Great Debate” and “SYFY WIRE Fangrrls: Women Changing the Game,” will feature more geeky celebrities than you can shake a lightsaber at (and please don’t).

The former, a conversational panel between some of geekery’s biggest nerds on the most divisive topics in fandom, will be hosted by Aisha Tylor and feature the likes of John Barrowman, Felicia Day, Orlando Jones, Joe Manganiello, Adam Savage, and Janet Varney (with even more coming soon).

That’s representation from the DCEU’s new villain, a former Mythbuster, and Felicia freakin’ Day. They’ll attempt to figure out who’s the best Hollywood Chris and vote on their favorite arguments each round - hopefully under the civilizing hand of Tyler.

For “SYFY WIRE Fangrrls: Women Changing the Game,” moderated by our own Fangrrls’ Managing Editor Cher Martinetti, Crazy Ex-Girlfriend star and creator Rachel Bloom, comic queenpin Amanda Conner, musician Lights, and Star Trek legend Nichelle Nichols will be talking all things groundbreaking in the world of women and genre.

What’s new by up-and-coming female creators and how have things changed because of female fandom? There’s nobody better to trust for answers than this talented panel.

Expect a few more familiar faces to turn up and keep your eyes locked on our social media feeds once the con kicks into gear in mid-July.
