San Diego Comic-Con got a bit more magical with the panel for SYFY's The Magicians.

Moderated by Felicia Day, who plays Poppy Kline, the Saturday panel kicked off with a recap video of Season 3, which wrapped up in April and, once again, left fans breathless and confused. Almost as confused as both the characters and, apparently, the actors, if the Season 4 teaser they screened is any indication.

Which is exactly how showrunner Sera Gamble likes it.

“At the end of a season of a TV show... you just f*** everybody as hard as possible," she said. Keeping the audience on their toes and guessing is also a goal. Getting stuck when it comes to writing the scripts isn't such a bad thing. In fact, it's very positive, because it means the audience has no clue either. “It’s really good when we don’t know what’s gonna happen next," Gamble continued.

The cast also spoke about what made Season 3 so interesting and discussed what they're looking forward to. Especially Hale Appleman (Eliot), who just kept saying, "Will you play with me?"

Season 4 of The Magicians will consist of 13 episodes and premiere on SYFY in 2019. The season is currently in production, with the crew working on Episode 5 right now, according to the panelists.
