Teen accidentally shot while playing live-action Walking Dead

It might sound like fun to play your own live-action game of Walking Dead with your friends — just make sure all the weapons you’re using aren’t, you know, loaded.

Arkansas native and aspiring zombie hunter Trevor Hargrove, 16, was reportedly playing a “zombie game” with his brother and another friend recently. So when Hargrove pointed an unloaded bow at him (we’re assuming this kid was playing Daryl, right?), his friend grabbed a handgun from the mother’s nightstand to use in the game.

Turns out the gun still had a bullet left in the chamber. Luckily for everyone, that kid hasn’t mastered the art of the head shot just yet.

Hargrove took a bullet to the upper torso, but is expected to make a full recovery. Let this be a lesson to all of us: Leave the zombie hunting to the professionals.
