More than a decade ago, Warner Bros. announced that the classic Teen Titans story "The Judas Contract" would be adapted as part of its then relatively new line of direct-to-video DC Comics animated features. The project was then pushed back when interest waned, but now the film is finally here -- and there's a trailer to prove it.

In the original comic, a villain named Terra infiltrates the Titans and joins their ranks, only to turn them over to Deathstroke the Terminator (voiced here by the late, great Miguel Ferrer). The animated film will loosely adapt that story, switching out some team members (Blue Beetle is here instead of Cyborg) and playing up Brother Blood as the villain behind Deathstroke's schemes.

The trailer is heavy on the action and light on the plot, but it gives us enough to let us know what Brother Blood is up to ... and it certainly highlights Deathstroke's ability to get under the Titans' collective skin. And I don't know about you, but I'm particularly excited to see how Blue Beetle shifts the dynamic of this story. Also, he has the best costume on the team. That's right! I said it!

The Judas Contract doesn't have an official release date yet, but it'll land soon. SOON.
