PlayStation has released a tense new gameplay trailer for Capcom's upcoming horror survival video game, Resident Evil 7 biohazard.
The gameplay trailer highlights a new found-footage scene from Resident Evil 7 where a terrified captive has to escape one of the mansion’s occupants in order to survive. All of this is shown from the first-person perspective of said captive, a first in the Resident Evil third-person video game franchise.
The gist of the story is this: Resident Evil 7 takes place in Dulvey, La., where something’s very, very wrong. Nobody’s heard anything from Jack or Marguerite Baker since forever, and rumors about what could have happened to them are making the rounds. The game will be taking place after the events of Resident Evil 6 and will be set inside a sinister plantation in modern-day rural America. The game is said to be returning to the series’ root of exploration and puzzles, and the tense atmosphere that was a staple of the earlier games.
