Avengers: Age of Ultron is still six months away, but anticipation is mounting rapidly. To help quell the fires of fan madness, Hot Toys has given us a peek at its 1/6-scale premium collectible figure prototypes from the upcoming mega-blockbuster movie.
Spotted out in the wild inside their popular booth at this weekend's massive Toy Soul 2014 convention in Hong Kong, Captain America, Iron Man, Thor, Hulkbuster, Black Widow, Hawkeye, Hulk and Thanos are revealed in all their geeky, detailed glory, strategically centered around a life-size Hulkbuster display lording over the proceedings in festive metallic crimson and gold.
These 37 shots show us some of the evolved outfits and weapons our heroes will sport in next summer's sequel, like Hulk's kevlar-weave commando shorts, Tony Stark's elaborate Mark 43 armor, Black Widow's "Widow Bite" stun wands, Thor's toned-down, bling-less costume, Hawkeye's silver boot darts and dapper draped coat, Captain America's stylized chest star and tooled leather torso and the Hulkbuster's brutal body armor and repulsor gauntlets. Thanos appears enthroned in his levitating chair, as seen in Guardians of the Galaxy, prior to his starring role in Avengers: Infinity War.
Hot Toys is scheduled to release these amazing scale action figures over the next year and should be available for pre-order early 2015. No prices or edition sizes have been determined at this time, but they should fall into the $300-500 range. Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on May 1, 2015.
Give us a grade on the Avengers' fashionable new looks in these toy preview shots!
