It's been over a year since the tragic passing of Carrie Fisher, but her legacy is as strong as it ever was. We got to say goodbye to her as Leia in Rian Johnson's Star Wars: The Last Jedi (her final onscreen performance), but the buck doesn't stop there. Everyone from Mark Hamill to Fisher's own daughter, Billie Lourd, have paid tribute to the late actress with stories and memories.
On the subject of Lourd, she shared two funny anecdotes about her mother while speaking to The Hollywood Reporter. The first was that she and Fisher attempted to sneak into a screening of Star Wars: The Force Awakens back in 2015 while in disguise. Fans obviously spotted her, as Lourd laughed there was "no chance" that was going to work. But if we're being real, if you're Carrie Fisher you can probably just walk into the theater without paying, take someone's seat, and no one would even care.
The second story revolved around a screening of Scream Queens (in which Lourd stars) at Comic Con. Not wanting to miss her daughter's television debut, Fisher showed up, but was looking a little worse for wear. "She showed up with mismatched socks and hadn't brushed her hair, and even then, everyone was like, 'There's Carrie Fisher!'" said Lourd.
Her wicked sense of humor and not-giving-a-damn attitude are sorely missed. Simply put, Carrie will never not be a national treasure.
