Back in December, before Charlie Sheen went nuclear, we reported that the actor might go zombie for AMC's The Walking Dead. We labeled it a Rumor of the Day, though, and advised you to take it with a grain of salt. No more.
Because now Robert Kirkman, creator of the Walking Dead comics and executive producer of the AMC series they spawned, DOES want Sheen to appear on the show as part of the second season, and went so far as to beg for him to make an appearance.
During a Walking Dead event held at the Paley Center, Kirkman said:
"Charlie call us, we we will totally make that happen ... We'll do whatever you want. ... Actually [Sheen] could play a car for all I care. ... He's awesome."
Kirkman's tongue was somewhat in cheek, because he went so far as to suggest that he'd recast the role of Rick and find Andrew Lincoln something else to do if that would get Sheen on the show. But it does seem that last year's rumor has become this year's "Hmmm, why not?"
After all, if Bill Murray can go zombie, why not Charlie Sheen?
