It’s October, which means your social media feeds are full of Halloween costumes, favorite horror films, and endless Hocus Pocus cosplay pics. Maybe you love the holiday. Heck, of course, you do. The thing is, everyone else has been planning costumes and parties for months. There’s no way you’re going to catch up now. Here’s a great plan for you. Go online and order a t-shirt that says “This is my costume,” and spend your hard-earned time and money on better things. Heck, if you have a fear of clowns, you should really just stay off of social media until November anyway. Xbox One has some really great deals for you on games and movies. Here are the best ones for Xbox One for the week ending October 7, 2018!

If you want to check out some really cool games that you might not have heard of, Xbox One is having a Pixel Art Perfection sale that ends on October 9. These are some crazy ones and they’re pretty beautiful. It’s worth popping into the deals section to check out what they look like. Right now you can get Dead & Cells for $19.99, down from $24.99, or Owlboy for $14.99, down from $24.99. You can pick up Stardew Valley right now for $11.99, down from 14.99 and Moonlighter for $14.99 down from $19.99. The Songbringer Bundle which includes Songbringer and Songbringer: The Trial of Ren for $7.99, down from $19.99. 

If you’re more into kicking some ass, you can grab Mortal Kombat XL for $10.00, down from $19.99. Injustice 2: Legendary Edition is on sale for $30.00, down from $59.99. Batman: Arkham Knight - Premium Edition is on sale for $20.00 down from $39.99, or Batman: Return to Arkham for $10.00, down from $19.99. You can get Hollow Knight: Voidheart Edition right now for $11.99, down from $19.99. Middle-earth: Shadow of Mordor is on sale right now for $24.99, down from $49.99, or you can get the Game of the Year Edition for $8.00, down from $19.99. Injustice 2: Legendary Edition is out for $30.00, down from $59.99. If you play Mortal Kombat XL, the controls are very similar and the story mode is pretty great if you‘re a fan of the game. The Elder Scrolls Online is on sale for Game Pass members for $40.00, down from $79.00. LEGO City Undercover is $15.00, down from $29.99.

If you’re more in the mood for movies, you can pick up Deadpool with bonus features for $19.99. Deadpool 2 with bonus features including the Super Duper Cut is out for $14.99. The Deadpool 2-Movie Collection is a mere $24.99. Remember that Hocus Pocus mention? Well, you can grab the flick plus bonus features right now for $9.99. The Nightmare Before Christmas with bonus features is out for $9.99. The sing-a-long version of the film is out on Blu-ray right now, but you already know all the words to the Henry Selick-directed stop-motion flick, don’t you? Of course, you do. Do you watch it for Halloween and Christmas? Just us? 

If you want to treat yourself to a good cry, you can pick up the new Mr. Rogers documentary Won’t You Be My Neighbor? for only $9.99. We know. You’re already weeping just from hearing the title. It’s an excellent balm for a new-addled mind. If you want to watch some racing and crime, F8: The Fate of the Furious is on sale right now. The Extended Edition is on sale for $9.99.
