The holiday weekend is over, and we’re all back to work. Well, unless you called in sick to play the new Destiny 2 expansion Forsaken. Of course, you did. We got a review copy from Activision and trust us, it’s absolutely, positively worth picking up! Avenge Cayde-6!

Anyway, the deals on Xbox One for the week ending September 9, 2018, are fewer than usual, likely because everyone is going to be playing Destiny 2: Forsaken, but there are some great ones! Here are the best ones we found, including some movie deals that are going to have you ready for a certain creature feature that’s coming out next week.

As you may have heard, The Predator is opening in theaters on September 14. In honor of that event, Xbox One has some great movie deals this week. We’ll start with those in case you need a break from your Destiny 2 adventures for a bit. After all, your thumbs are going to need a rest sometime! First up, we have 1987’s Predator, starring Arnold Schwarzenegger, on sale for $7.99. You can continue the series with Predator 2 for $7.99, and Predator3 for $7.99. For the same price, you can get Alien vs. Predator Requiem, the unrated version.

If you’re in the mood to continue with the crossover, you can pick up Alien: Covenant with bonus features for $9.99, or you can get Prometheus with bonus features for $7.99. If you really want to Alien it up, you can pick up the Alien 6-Film Collection, which includes Alien, Aliens, Alien3, Alien: Resurrection, Prometheus, and Alien: Covenant for a mere $34.99. Want them separately? Pick up Alien from 1979 for $7.99, or the special edition of the film for the same price. You can also get Alien: Resurrection for $7.99, but the six-film deal seems like a far better deal if you’re going to shell out the money.

Are you up for some animation? How about Cars for $14.99 from back in 2006? You can get the sequel Cars 2 for $14.99, or Cars 3 plus bonus features for $14.99. Maybe you want a little silly scary stuff? Pick up the unrated version of Lake Placid 3 for $9.99, Lake Placid: The Final Chapter for $9.99, or Lake Placid vs. Anaconda and try to puzzle out how a lake and a snake can fight for $9.99. That’s the unrated version as well, and hey, if you’re going that way, unrated is probably a no-brainer.

Maybe scary dolls are more your thing this week as you try to hold onto the vacation feeling. You can grab Annabelle Creation from 2017 for $19.99, the Annabelle 2-Film Collection for $13.99 with Creation and the original Annabelle, or Annabelle alone with bonus features for $7.99. You can grab Annabelle along with The Conjuring for $14.99, The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 together for $14.99, or each film by itself for $8.99.

If Destiny 2: Forsaken isn’t your game of choice, you can grab a few great game deals online right now. Are you up for some Sims action? Right now you can get The Sims 4 Expansion Pack Cats & Dogs for $31.99, down from $39.99. You can get the Vampires Expansion Pack $11.99, down from the original $19.99, or The Sims 4, which was originally $20 but is free with EA Access.

Are you more into Middle-earth these days? Middle-earth: Shadow of War is on sale for $29.99, down from the original $49.99. You can also get the Definitive Edition for $39.99, down from $59.99 with a Gold Membership.

Feel like playing a little Grand Theft Auto? Right now you can get Grand Theft Auto: Online - Criminal Enterprise Great White Shark Bundle for $39.99, down from $49.99. You can get Grand Theft Auto V: Premium Online Edition Great White Shark Bundle for $67.99, down from $79.99. Or you can get Grand Theft Auto: Online Whale Shark Bundle Criminal Enterprises Starter Pack for $59.99, down from the original $79.99. Feel like going a bit sillier? This week you can get Shaq Fu: A Legend Reborn for $10.00, down from $19.99. Or you can play a little Dark Souls Remastered for $27.99, down from the original $39.99.

While you're checking out the deals, there is a Super Compatibility Sale for a ton of backward-compatible games. Don't miss those either!

So, what are you guys thinking about playing this week? Are you doing an Alien and Predator marathon? Or are you just so stuck in the world of Destiny 2 that you can’t do anything else? Let us know in the comments or tweet us @SYFYFangrrls!
