Looking to play a new game for a few hours, or maybe call in sick for a week, order pizza, and ignore all basic human needs? Xbox One is having some great deals right now, and these are our favorites.

Before we get to the games, there is a movie sale that might interest Marvel fans desperately awaiting Avengers: Infinity War. This Marvel Universe, running until May 15, offers each Marvel film for 25% off at $14.99, complete with all the bonus features. If you can’t get enough Chris Hemsworth—and really, no one can—you can grab Thor, Thor: The Dark World (maybe fast-forward through that one), and Thor: Ragnarok together for $40.99.

The best deal for Xbox Live Gold members right now is Assassin’s Creed: Syndicate, which you can nab for free. If that’s not enough killing for you, you can grab a season pass for the game for $9.90 and get an exclusive A Long Night mission, the Last Maharaja Mission Pack, Victorian Legends Pack, the Jack the Ripper expansion, Streets of London pack, and Steampunk pack. With all that you’ll get two top-tier sets of gear and weapons, a permanent XP boost, 500 Helix Credits to purchase additional in-game content, and more. That’s a pretty great deal for less than 10 smackaroos.

Also free right now is Thekla Inc.’s The Witness, a 3D puzzle game from 2016. If you’re the sort of gamer who can’t wait for the next time you’re locked in a room standing in front of an unlocked door that you can’t open (and really, aren't we all?), this one is definitely worth it. In the week of its release, the game sold over 100,000 copies and received a ton of praise from game critics.

Dead Space 2 is also currently free. This EA game was released for Xbox 360 in 2011 and is compatible with Xbox One. It’s set three years after the first Dead Space game and follows Isaac Clarke’s fight to take down a Necromorph outbreak on Sprawl.

Big discounts right now include Project CARS 2, which was originally $59.99 and is on sale for $30. The motorsport racing simulator from Slightly Mad Studios/Bandai Namco Entertainment was released back in September of 2017. It got pretty good reviews when it came out, and if you’re into cars, this one should hold you for a while.

You and a buddy can grab A Way Out, from the maker of Brothers: A Tale of Two Sons, for $22. You get to break out of prison together, but only one of you has to own the game.

If Madden NFL 18 is your thing, it’s on sale for $18. Racing game fans can also grab Forza Horizon 3 and the Hot Wheels expansion bundle for $64.

Divinity: Original Sin from Larian Studios was partially funded through Kickstarter and is a prequel to Divine Divinity. The enhanced edition of this game from 2015 is on sale for $10, down from $39.99.

The action role-playing game The Technomancer from Spiders/Focus Home Interactive is set in the same world as Mars: War Logs during the War of Water after humans colonize Mars. This one is also $10, down from $39.99.

You can also get your hands on the Gearbox Softwars/2K Games first-person shooter Borderlands: The Handsome Collection for $19.80, down from $59.99. The game contains parts of Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel.

Xbox One is also currently having an up to 70% off sale for the publisher Curve. You’re going to save $8.99 on Human Fall Flat, $10.49 on Beholder: The Complete Edition, $3.30 on Thomas Was Alone, and $4.50 on Serial Cleaner. Other titles on sale include The Flame in the Flood, which is included with Game Pass, Manual Samuel, The Little Acre, The Swapper (free with Game Pass), Action Hank, Dear Esther: Landmark Edition, Hue, Jump Stars, Nova-111, Pumped BMX, Stealth Inc. 2: A Game of Clones, 10 Second Ninja X, and The Swindle.

We want to hear from you! What games are you looking to play this week? Are you too busy hanging with Kratos and his son in God of War to click over to the deals page on Xbox One? Leave us your favorite picks in the comments!
