SYFY WIRE caught up with the cast of Midnight, Texas — NBC’s new supernatural series based on Charlaine Harris’ (True Blood) book series — during San Diego Comic-Con over the weekend, where the actors revealed a few juicy secrets behind the show’s first episode, which aired this past Monday.

François Arnaud (Manfred Bernardo), Sarah Ramos (Creek), Parisa Fitz-Henley (Fiji Cavanaugh), Arielle Kebbel (Olivia), Yul Vasquez (Rev. Emilio Sheehan) and Jason Lewis (Joe Strong), as well as Peter Mensah (Lemuel) and Dylan Bruce (Bobo), were on hand to spill the beans about some of the secrets behind the production of the Season 1 premiere. Arnaud even discussed the opening scene, in which his character (who is psychic) gets possessed by a jealous husband. Good times!

Other little gold nuggets included the wearing of fat suits, coming face to face with a terrifyingly real-looking fake dead body, having to shoot a bow and arrow in one single take while aiming at the camera, CG nipples, and more. Check it out, then let us know if you'll be watching Midnight, Texas when Episode 2 debuts at 10 p.m. ET on NBC.
